A clearer path from print idea to production.

Printiger brings product discovery, print configuration, artwork readiness, pricing, and production handoff into one connected experience. Buyers can begin with the job they need to complete, define the relevant specifications, understand quantity trade-offs, and submit a request the production team can act on. It creates a digital sales layer for a service that would otherwise depend on repeated calls and unstructured messages.

Target users

Small businesses, product brands, e-commerce sellers, event organisers, educators, and individuals who need custom labels, stickers, inserts, tissue, or branded packaging without navigating an opaque offline quotation process.

Business problem

A custom print order contains decisions about dimensions, material, finish, quantity, artwork, and intended use. Most customers do not speak in production terminology, while a conventional catalogue cannot capture every packaging requirement. Without structure, the sales team spends time translating incomplete enquiries before it can price or produce the job.

Solution

I designed Printiger as a guided web-to-print journey rather than a conventional storefront. Configurable products translate production variables into clear customer choices and show how quantity changes the order. Artwork readiness is handled as part of the flow, not as an afterthought. Packaging uses a specification-led enquiry path so the product remains simple without hiding the details required for manufacturing.

Architecture

The production website is a Nuxt application built with Vue and TypeScript. Reusable product, category, estimator, and content components support both configurable labels and specification-led packaging enquiries. The pricing model keeps shape, dimensions, quantity, material, finish, artwork status, and delivery state coordinated, while route-based category pages reuse the same commerce foundation for intent-specific discovery. Tailwind provides the responsive interface system for the storefront and dense configuration controls.

Challenges

The product needed to simplify print buying without oversimplifying print production. Configurable sticker orders can be priced from defined variables, while packaging still needs dimensions, use-case context, and production review. The UX had to make those two modes feel like one product, keep dense configuration usable on mobile, and collect enough information for the team to move forward without recreating the enquiry from scratch.

Founder reflection

“I built Printiger around a simple product principle: preserve the flexibility of custom printing, but remove the uncertainty from starting an order. That meant owning the commercial model, customer journey, production constraints, interface, and launch as one connected product decision.”
